I think the owners of Vanilla Pod should expand......maybe one in Toronto!! Jeanne Lyons of Stouffville, On

On a Saturday in July I had invited people to dinner, at least 4 weeks in advance, But on the day it was hot and our house is not air conditioned and I ended up working all afternoon. Although I love to cook and entertain, the idea was becoming stressful!

My husband was able to get a booking at short notice at the Vanilla Pod.

It was a wonderful evening, we had a relaxing champagne on our Deck before leaving, then a scenic 40 minute drive.

Our friends were thrilled they were treated to a “new” restaurant, and I was delighted I didn’t have to cook that night !

The food was exceptional, everything was just perfect, I am a true foodie, and recall garnishes on dishes from 20 years ago, …. The service truly genuine, timely and informative. With such an extensive wine by the glass list , it is easy have more than one!, but the unhurried atmosphere meant we had plenty of time to sober up for the drive home.

I want to congratulate you on your extended dining area, nothing was lost in terms of classy and cozy atmosphere. Thanks from all of us !!!

Dear Chef & team - thanks again. THE best dinner this week... Dessert "to go" was amazing.

It was a pleasure meeting you last evening, the food was fantastic, the waitress wonderful and your conversation enjoyable. I am spreading the word already and will definitely look into those suggestions about staying at the resort and dining at the Vanilla Pod in the fall or late winter. Thank you again for a memorable time!

I went to the vanilla pod last fall and enjoyed every minute of it. The food was wonderful. I really enjoyed the tomato towers. What I especially liked about the restaurant was that they weren't a bunch of pompous snobs. My friends and I range in the ages from 17 to 21 and they were super friendly towards us, unlike some fancy places. I also discovered a new favorite white wine their, Grey Monk. Its nice when a group of teens go to enjoy a nice meal out and don't get treated like a bunch of "cheap kids".

Dal and I (and our daughters) remember you and the restaurant with much warmth. Dal and I have been to the Vanilla Pod several times, always wonderful, and we had such a smashing time with both our daughters last summer.
Our twenty-something daughters Marieke and Claire shared your fruit crumble on our last visit and they are STILL talking about it. Marieke, our elder daughter, says, "You know how you have a fruit crisp and the topping is great but the fruit is boring, OR the fruit is perfect , but the topping is disappointing. At the Vanilla Pod, the entire dessert is absolutely perfect".

I just wanted to let you know that my husband Ron and I thoroughly enjoyed our scrumptious dinner on Friday night. We will DEFINITELY be returning again to sample more of your delicious culinary delights. Thanks for a great dinner! I have spread the word!!

Thanks so much for the most wonderful evening that our "10" enjoyed on Sunday evening. Everyone was delighted and one of the fellows said it was the very best meal he'd ever had anywhere (and he's a big city boy and travels a lot!).
